Our Safety Lift Solutions and WA Field Mining Services Division assisted another contractor during the major shutdown of this RH170 excavator in the Pilbara.

The teams carried out the following work:

• Split machine
• Walked out the carbody
• Machined superstructure surface
• Fitted new slew bearing to new carbody
• Walked back in and refitted the superstructure to the carbody

Additional works were completed outside of our scope of work including:

• Swapped over travel motors, final drives, and tracks from old carbody to the new one
• Removed and refitted boom cylinders
• Removed and refitted swing boxes
• Fitted refurb cab
